Alper Gökbulut, who was born in Kırşehir in 1978, graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy of Ankara University in 2001 and started working as a research assistant in January 2002 in the same faculty. He received MS degree in the field of Pharmacognosy in 2004 and completed his military service in the Pharmaceutical Factory Command Quality Control Laboratory in Ankara in 2005. In January 2011, he received his PhD degree. He was appointed as an assistant professor in 2014 and became an associate professor in 2017. He is currently working as a faculty member at the Pharmacognosy Department of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ankara University. He worked as a researcher at Heinrich Heine Universitat-Pharmazeutische Biologie und Biotechnologie Düsseldorf-Germany in 2006, Westfalische Wilhelms Universitat Institut für Pharmazeutische Biologie und Phytochemie Münster-Germany in 2010. In 2014 he attended training seminars in CAMAG Laboratories, Muttenz, Switzerland. His main research areas are the standardization of herbal products, HPLC and HPTLC analyzes, phenolic compounds, in vitro biological activity tests. He has 15 publications indexed in SCI journals, 12 publications in other international and national journals, and more than 30 reports presented at international and national symposia. He is currently serving as Vice Dean at Faculty of Pharmacy Ankara University, Member of Editorial Board of FABAD Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Member of the Board of Pharmacognosy and Phytotherapy Association, Member of the Board of Pharmacy Academy of Turkish Pharmacists Association. He is married and has two children.
