Ankara
is the capital of Turkey. The city
has been continuously inhabited since the Bronze Age. The museum of Anatolian Civilizations details the flow
of cultures that have passed through the area, from the Hittites,
Phrygians, Lydians and Persians to the Galatians, Romans,
Byzantines, Seljuk Turks and Ottomans. In addition to the museums,
visitors enjoy touring the citadel, historical buildings and the old
shops. The participants can find many interesting old and new items
such as copper, jewellery, carpets, antiques and embroideries.
We hope that ISOPS-8 meeting in
Ankara will be a memorable one for scientific,
social and historical experience.
